A mantra I have lived by my whole life. With everything I do
and have done it has been an adventure, after each adventure I have undertaken
I have always said, “It will be a story
to tell.” I always try to learn something from these stories, and if I can
teach others or just bring them some sort of insight, humour or joy, I tell my
stories. I have been encouraged countless times to write down the stories I
tell.
I love telling stories orally but once I try to pave them in
words they seem to get stuck, junk slaps itself on the page. I suffer from
writer’s block. Words morph into my enemy attacking me from all angles. I
become a slave to grammar, style and the white space I have to fill. Anxiety
and fear take over.
But I am a fighter and I do have some stories to tell. So
this book is an attempt to tell some of those stories. Recognizing that
memories are distorted with time, perception, and our own imagination; I am
going to tell my fictional autobiography. Some stories are memories, some are
dreams, some happened and some I may have made up. Life is full of imagination,
belief and dreams. My stories take on a life of their own and as I write them
down on the page I hope to tell exactly that, stories.
Wow nice writing, how i wish to writes as you write, simple and clean.
